IC Design team

IC Design team consists of 7 high skilled software and hardware engineers. All they are graduates from the best local high schools - Novosibirsk State University and Novosibirsk Technical State University with about 20 years working experience.

Mixed-signal circuits design team supports complete IC design solution including architectural and functional design, schematic design and transistor-level simulation, layout design and full design verification as well as final chip testing. Every year several students from Novosibirsk universities carry out diploma projects under team designers’ leadership.

Specialists of design team have experience with modern CAD systems, including Cadence, Mentor and Tanner design tools. Designers are familiar with Verilog and Verilog-A HDLs.
Previously, design team fulfilled a number of successful projects, including digital and mixed-mode analog digital gate arrays and ASICs on its base, switched capacitor filters, ADC and various OpAmps ICs.

The main application area of team projects is military and special purpose systems and equipment. The most important completed projects include:

8-th order elliptic low pass switched capacitors filter IC (analog of MAXIM’s MAX297);
8-th order Butterworth low pass switched capacitors filter IC (analog of MAXIM’s MAX295);
universal IC for active filter realization (analog for MAX274);
CMOS 3000-logic-gates gate array and almost 20 ASICs on it’s base;
Analog-digital mixed-mode gate array and four ASICs on it’s base;
CMOS rail-to-rail quad op amp IC;
0.25-micron-CMOS-based 12 bit 20 MSPS pipelined ADC.

The recent trend in team’s work is concentrated in the area of mixed-mode system-on-the-chip (SoC) and analog and analog-digital IP-blocks for SoC design.

Business Models

Softage engages with customers on a number of levels. Softage' services Business Model may be a Time & Material or Volume Service Agreement.
Time and Materials is suited to developments where there are areas of shared responsibility, where task flexibility is important, or where there are likely changes in the customer requirements during the project.

Under a Volume Services Agreement Softage will dedicate a defined team to work exclusively for a customer for a period of time that is typically in excess of one year.

Under all models 'Deliverables' and 'Expectations' are clearly defined.
